Vitamin B5 as a Natural Remedy 

 Vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, can be used as a natural remedy to treat or prevent a variety of conditions in the body. It is known as the anti-stress vitamin. It also helps in the production of adrenal hormones and the formation of antibodies, helps with vitamin utilization, and helps to convert fats, carbohydrates and proteins into energy.

Pantothenic acid is required by every cell in the body, and is concentrated in the organs. It is also involved in the production of neurotransmitters. vit B5 is also an essential part of coenzyme A, which is a chemical in the body which is a necessary part of many of the bodies metabolic functions.

Pantothenic acid is also a stamina enhancer, and helps prevent certain forms of anemia. It is needed for the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, and may be helpful in treating depression and anxiety. vit B5 is also needed for the proper functioning of the adrenal glands.

Effects of Vit B5 Deficiency


A deficiency of vit B5, or pantothenic acid, may cause fatigue, headaches, nausea, and tingling in the hands.

Sources of Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic acid, or vit B5, can be found in avocadoes, beef, brewer's yeast, eggs, fresh vegetables, kidney, legumes, liver, lobster, mushrooms, nuts, pork, royal jelly, saltwater fish, torula yeast, whole rye flower, and whole wheat.
